Educating Minds and Transforming Lives
We have come to a crisis in our country as a result of the opiate epidemic. Our organization brings together and provides support for those who are on the front line of the addiction war. We have all been called into this field for our own reasons and most of us can’t imagine doing anything else.
We enjoy learning about the latest tools to achieve our mission of helping others at our monthly SoAP Events, and in the process it’s great fun getting to know each other as well.
A Positive Organization of Like Minded Individuals
The San Diego Society of Addiction Professionals is a coalition of working professionals gathered to facilitate a collaboration among community leaders, professionals and County members to enhance opportunities for education, interdisciplinary problem solving, and access to information, resources, and services to help maximize positive recovery outcomes for individuals and families struggling with addiction issues in the community.
Our Vision Statement
The community of San Diego Addiction Professionals sees the value of a community recovery system. This system is local and always growing both professionally and spiritually. With continuous education, CEU’s and credits for professionals and nurses, the enrichment of know-how and best practices strengthens the bonds of our city and community.
Logistics of Attending a SoAP Meeting
San Diego SoAP is held at the La Jolla Village Square’s Community Room. The Room is located on the lower level of the shopping Center next to the AMC Movie Theater’s box office.
There are two areas to park: outdoors and underground. The outdoor parking can get rather full. We suggest that you aim for the indoor covered parking which is usually wide open during our meeting hours, plus it is cooler in the summer and dry during rainy season.
